I am a third-year student in the M. Arch I program at the Yale School of Architecture. I am from Beijing by way of Jiangsu, New Haven, and an assortment of places in Georgia.
I received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Yale College. Through my studies, I have worked with the Yale Urban Ecology and Design Laboratory and Urban Design Workshop,
with a particular focus in adaptive reuse and coastal resilience
strategies. My professional experience in New York has also provided me ample experience with single-family and multifamily residential and hospitality projects in the tri-state area.
On a broader level, I am as much a tinkerer and a maker as I am a designer, and I firmly believe that architecture cannot exist insulated from the materials and processes that comprise it. With experience in everything from typography to industrial design to computer science, the core appeal of architecture to me is its hybridity — that no process or methodology is off-limits.
